Quincy Animal Shelter (QAS) Quincy, MA

I spent 9 years volunteering here and it's been the most rewarding position I have ever had. It's an all volunteer and non-profit shelter. It is a great place to adopt a cat or dog. I adopted Heidi there. The volunteers are a group of dedicated professionals who provide animals with best care possible while finding them a forever home.

New England Dog Training Club (NEDTC), Cambridge, MA

Thursday nights from September to June, you will find me there teaching Puppy Kindergarten and Levels classes. I am also on the Board of Directors. It is a non-profit Dog Club and, in fact, the oldest American Kennel Club in the country. We have the best group of trainers in the Boston area. We teach obedience levels classes, which means you and your dog learn at your own pace. Your dog can earn the AKC's Puppy K STAR and the Canine Good Citizen titles. You can also advance to competition levels of Novice, Utility, Open and Rally.
